Keeping it in the family

In 1984, John Nehme (J.N.) first opened the small pizza shop at the corner of Cyrville and Meadowbrook, located in the east end of Ottawa, where a group of residential neighbourhoods meet the industrial area of the city.

The business originally begun as a small shop serving pizza and a variety of Italian food. At this time, only take out and delivery was available.  After a few years, a scuba diving shop next door closed down and John, being a sports enthusiast, had the idea to expand the store in to a restaurant with a sports bar. This proved to be a very successful move. Local workers, mostly from the nearby industrial area, started to come by either for lunch or dinner, sometimes staying all night for drinks.

With the help of his wife Yolla and family, the restaurant has become an east end establishment offering one of the city's best 'Ottawa style' pizzas and diner favourites. Over the years, the restaurant expanded further to add pool tables and dart boards, and joined local dart and pool leagues.

After 30 years in business, John handed over the keys to his son-in-law Ray Aouad and his brothers Eddy, Joe and Fred who continue the tradition of food and family!
